Congressman John Campbell Endorses Mansoor

Costa Mesa, California – Orange County Congressman John Campbell, a leading budget hawk in Washington, has endorsed Costa Mesa Mayor Allan Mansoor for the 68th State Assembly District.

“Costa Mesa has had a balanced budget every year that Allan Mansoor has been mayor,” said Campbell, the former chairman of the Budget Task Force of the Republican Study Committee, the conservative caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives.  “Sacramento simply cannot continue to spend money like it has.  If we are going to prevent the financial collapse of our state, we need fiscal leaders like Allan up there to rein in the profligate spending.”

“Congressman Campbell has distinguished himself as one of the leading voices for fiscal responsibility, both in Washington and in Sacramento,” said Mansoor.  “I appreciate his support and plan to be a thorn in the side of the big spenders in Sacramento.”

Mansoor is a former Orange County Deputy Sheriff and has been mayor of Costa Mesa since 2005.  He is the Republican candidate for the 68th Assembly District currently held by Van Tran who is retiring due to term limits.

Assemblyman Jeff Miller Announces Support for Mansoor

March 29, 2010 – 10:13 am

Costa Mesa, California – Orange County Assemblyman Jeff Miller has announced his endorsement of Costa Mesa Mayor Allan Mansoor for the 68th Assembly District.

Miller, a former mayor himself, noted Mansoor’s effective leadership of the City of Costa Mesa.

“Allan has balanced the budget every year as mayor and focused on improving the business climate in Costa Mesa.  This is what we need in Sacramento if we are going to lure our California businesses back from Texas, Nevada, and Arizona,” said Miller.  “Its basic economics that higher taxes and overregulation stifle economic growth and the only way to expand our tax base and create new jobs is through pro-growth policies.”

“Jeff’s experience in business and as a local elected official give him the right perspective for fixing the mess Democrats have created in Sacramento,” said Mansoor.  “California raised taxes higher than any state in the country last year and when I get to the Assembly, I will fight hard to get our fiscal house in order and get Californians back to work.”

Mayor Mansoor has balanced the budget each year without raising taxes and is committed to cutting spending in Sacramento and balancing the state budget.  He is a former Orange County Deputy Sheriff and a Republican candidate for the 68th Assembly District, currently held by Van Tran, who is running for Congress.
